Therapeutic hot springs of Lesvos
The nature gave to Lesvos, as another gift, the hot springs that are scattered throughout the island. The springs are the remains and the evidence of an ancient volcanic activity in the region.
The rich carbonated, chlorinated, sulfurous and radioactive water, the range of temperatures and the units of radioactivity are famous in Lesvos since the ancient times, attracting a large number of visitors to the island. Today, at Therma, Polichnitos, Lisvori, Thermi, Eftalou of Argenos and at others sites, there are therapeutic hot springs suitable for almost all types of treatment. This richness makes Lesvos, perhaps, the most beautiful place for treatment in the Mediterranean Sea.
