Tourist Guide of Tilos

Spotless beaches and rough mountainous volumes, ancient and Byzantine monuments and traditional architecture compose the picture of the island, which the last years presents appreciable tourist movement.

The village Megalo Chorio has an array of attractions, such as the anthropological relics at the bay of Agios Antonios, the cave Charkadio and the Kampos (a valley with citrus and vegetables). You can swim in Eristos, in Agios Antonios and in Plaka and you can enjoy the dance of Koypa on 28th of July in the courtyard of the Church of the Archangel.

The village Livadia is the port of the island, full of scenic and historic churches. Near it, lies the Mikro Chorio where the picture is romantic. From the top of mount Amali you can see the whole island.

If you visit Tilos do not forget to buy sweets with almonds and to try the goat stuffed with rice and spices.
